UK mortgage fees differ greatly and depend on a number of factors including type of mortgage, the mortgage lender or brokers charges and arrangement fees and of course conveyancing costs. If you are selling and buying a house there will also be estate agent fees and stamp duty to be paid which need to be taken into consideration when budgeting.

It is worth searching for the best deal, first time buyers can often get reduced mortgage fees plus if you are looking to remortgage your property many costs are paid by the lender or reimbursed on completion, make sure you know exactly what you will be required to pay before signing.
