Their service offers an interest rate guarantee and, whilst there is no pressure for the consumer to purchase insurance products from HSBC, there is often a discount or free period offered if they decide to do so. Interest is calculated daily.
The website is easy to navigate and offers plenty of useful information. There is a mortgage calculator which you can use to calculate how much you can afford to borrow and you can request brochures online for a variety of the products provided by HSBC.
